Top Japanese Photographers Showcase Curated Works at "1X Artist Exhibition 2026" in Tokyo
TOKYO — Photography enthusiasts and art collectors visiting Tokyo this summer have a unique opportunity to experience some of the finest contemporary photographic works from Japan. The highly anticipated "1X Artist Exhibition 2026" opened on Wednesday, July 29, at the Hiltopia Art Square, located on the B1 floor of the Hilton Tokyo in Shinjuku.
Organized by 1X Japan Co., Ltd., the week-long exhibition runs through Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Admission is free to the public.
The exhibition features 59 selected works by Japanese photographers who have met the rigorous judging standards set by the Sweden-based international photography platform 1X. Known globally for its uncompromising curatorial process, 1X features only a tiny fraction of submitted images worldwide, making this group show a prestigious gathering of top-tier photographic talent.
Visitors can expect a diverse array of genres, including breathtaking landscapes, sleek architecture, candid street scenes, evocative portraits, and fine-art abstract compositions. Each piece highlights the delicate balance between modern visual storytelling and classic artistic vision.

Situated in the lower level of the Hilton Tokyo in vibrant Shinjuku, the venue offers an accessible cultural stop for international travelers exploring the capital.
